Squla Typing course

This is a serious HTML5/JavaScript game for teaching children how to type without looking at their keyboard. I was the only front end developer for this project, thus the game play, UI, animations were my tasks. The back end was developed by a colleague (e. g.: the front end sent all the data about the played level, like the number of correct letters typed, and the back end calculated the score).

Bubble fever

Bubble Fever is an HTML5/JavaScript bubble shooter. It was developed during my period at BoosterMedia with a few other developers.

All around the world, people started reporting red noses, bloated feet, and other weird diseases. Dr. Atom decides to shrinks his loyal assistant Quark and injects him INSIDE the body of his patients to fight the infected cells and cure the patients.

This game has a nice feel to it thanks to the great art and design. We developers based our framework based on Phaser, and made a game that ran pretty smoothly across mobile devices, tablets and pcs.

Curious? You can try the game here!

Glamour gems

Glamour gems is a fashion game where the player can dress up his/her model, trade clothes with friends, and can win new clothes by playing bejeweled or by buying a random item.

This was my first HTML5/JavaScript game, and back when we made this, the technology was still "new" and being tested by a lot of developers. This way we encountered many obstacles, of which the most problematic was the performance, but we worked hard and surpassed these obstacles and finished this game.

Chronicles of the lost sensei

The chronicles of the lost sensei (COTLS) is a 2D platform game with RPG, action and puzzle elements.

This game was created by a group of 6 students (3 artists and 3 developers) of the Hogeschool van Amsterdam as a project for the courses Game Technology and Game Design.

Our final grade for the project was a 9 out of 10. We also got second place in the fair the school organized to show all the games that were made (about 20± games were made).

Wecycle - Jekko

Wecycle is a company that organizes the collection and recycling of electrical appliances and energy-saving lighting (e-waste).

The company needed a game for the promotion of its "recycle-gadget", the Jekko.

Little Chicken had already developed a game for Wecycle. That game has been extended with a new mini game (the Jekko bonus) and ported to Action Script so it could be played in browsers.

I was the only developer involved in this project at that time, so I developed the new mini game of the Jekko-bonus, integrated it with the old one, and… Well, the rest of the developing work (flow, interface, Hyves implementation, web page).
